My gpr started to cavitate pretty badly right about mid throttle. I got it back
on the trailer and noticed what looked like foam window stripping hanging down.
On the riva micro fiche, it describes it as felt packing. Also, there is what
appears to be two openings on either side of what i believe was the ride plate,
are they supposed to be there? I planned on getting the pump plug kit but never
got around to it, and i want to ride again this weekend. I figure ill just pull
everything apart and silicone it. Any suggestions? thanks. >> Stay informed about: 01 gpr cavitation |

Yeah, don't procrastinate! The felt you saw is the stock gasket,
surprised it lasted anywhere near this long. Just siliconing it won't
help much since regular silicone will blow out of there in no time. You
need the pump plug kit and some 3M Marine Silicone and follow the
directions shown on the Riva forums.

And if you install the ppk you will need to put each plug in the the shoe and
if they are not flush you will have to sand them down, so they are not above
the shoe,if not your pump shoe might be to low.....and you will be even
slower... >> Stay informed about: 01 gpr cavitation |
