I found this forum over the weekend and found it informative:

For those thinking about purchasing the Sony KDL46XBR4 here is an
interesting thread regarding calibration settings for the set
(caution.........it is a very long thread):

I ordered Video Essentials last week based on the recommendations from a
couple members here and will see how calibrating the set (once I get it)
using that program compares to some of the calibration settings members at
AV Forum are recommending for the set.
