If, for some reason I want to take it out on the water I'll tie the carrying cord to a deck bungee and then bungee the thing to the deck for flat water. For surf, I hang it around my neck and wear it inside of my neo tee shirt. My brother uses the skinny model without the neck cord as his primary wallet since he frequently works in wet and grimy conditions.
