POTUS is suddenly woken up by the odd sounding phone, as his mind
begins to clear, he realizes it is the emergency phone, he answers.
The Russians have suddenly sunk two US navy ships taking part in an
excercise with the Georgian Coastal defense forces in the Black Sea.
Moscow is 13 hours ahead and Putin has already denounced "US
Provocations and has said Russia will no longer allow US ships into
the Black Sea". As POTUS gets out of bed, he notices the aide out
sitting outside his door with the "football", the device that could
set into motion a strike against Russia.
Clearly this scenario is very realistic.
So, who would you like to have as POTUS, a man who personally knows
the price of sending boys to war along with a second in command who
personally knows the anguish of sending her own son to war, OR, a man
who has no knowledge of the price to be paid for action or inaction
except for talks with his buddy the former terrorist about settign
bombs at the Pentagon to kill school kids.
