Anyone ever owned one, built one or whatever? Been very interested in
them for years, and saw one on the slip at work a couple of months ago,
now I am thinking about building one.
Just looking for opinions on the boats.

Andrew.

Woodenboat had a great article on the Bartenders last year. They have a
webpage for searching past issues. The only negatives I have ever heard is
that they use lots of fuel and that directional stability is less than
perfect. For playing among the breakers they seem ideal.

The Bartender article in WB is in the Nov/Dec 2001 (#163) issue. Also,

Former 4 man charter, former salmon troller.
There are several of them around the PNW.

So you own one.
Please share with us your thoughts about the design. How do you use it? What
does it do well/poorly? How might it be improved?
Inquiring minds want to know.
