While Fay has been a disaster for some, it has been a blessing for N.
Georgia.
Fay bringing drought relief to metro Atlanta
The rains forecast for Monday and for the rest of this week have the
potential to put a decent dent in Georgia’s drought, a National Weather
Service meteorologist predicted Sunday.
Forecaster Stephen Konarik said Tropical Storm Fay and its remnants are
to thank for this week’s forecast. Experts say up to 10 inches of rain
total could fall this week in north Georgia, the source of drinking
water for metro Atlanta.
“That would put a pretty significant dent in the drought,” Konarik said.
“It’s looking the best that it has in quite in while.”
Meteorologists predict a 70 percent chance of rain Monday, 80 percent
Tuesday and 70 percent Wednesday. Thursday brings a 50 percent chance of
rain. >> Stay informed about: Thank you Fay |

What would make you think that he's onliy thinking of himself? First
of all, the people affected by Lanier's water shortage is vast,
reaching all the way to the Gulf and encompassing a lot of urban
areas, including Atlanta proper. Also, he said nothing about being
happy or elated that other areas aren't fairing as well. >> Stay informed about: Thank you Fay |

I ignored his comment, his creative snipping still didn't make it look
like my attitude was "screw the other guy", it was DD's feeble attempt
at a flame. DD really needs to stick to saying "way to go Harry", high

Don needs someone.. anyone to pay some attention to him. Harry needs
someone ... anyone to be his friend. it is a match made in heaven.
I could not believe he did not go to the Parker Rendezvous, especially
after all the Parker Propaganda he has posted in rec.boats. I think he
knows no one wants to meet him. >> Stay informed about: Thank you Fay |
