Hello to everyone I am a new user to newsgroups so bear with me. I work the
fore deck on a J24 and I am looking for some good non-slip foredeck shoes.
Anyone have some recommendations and wed addresses I go and look at? I sail
out of Toronto but as long as I can purchase online no worries. Thanks Frank

Well, I sail (and race) out of NYC in Toronto and I usually go for
Sperry Topsiders or canvas deck shoes. I just bought Sperry sandals at
the Boat Show for $45 Cdn. (1/2 price). They are the first sandal I've
seen with the "honeycomb" Sperry sole. Works for me, and I spend a
fair bit of time on the rail as well as grinding.

On our J/24 I use:
Harken Quattro's on dry deck days.
Harken X-Wave's on wet deck days.
I take them off before leaving the boat.
I keep them in plastic bags in the off season.

I like Gill Dingy boots (zipper) whenever it may be slippery.

Hi there

I sail a lot of match racing and I have found that the Prada shoes are
really good (but expensive). You can have them outside the racecourse
too Wink
Some foredeckers that I have sailed with uses harken ones and they
reccemend them. Hope that helped you.

best regards

Rickard
