Hi all,

We just aquired a 1986 kawasaki standup with a single cylinder 300 cc
motor. It seems this motor has a dipstick and uses oil in the engine.

Can anyone tell me if this is so, and what type of oil to use. Any other
advice appreciated.

Karen

I vaguely recall that the 300 does actually have oil in the motor (aside
from premix)... my buddy has a few of them, if I fun into him in the next
few days I'll ask him and post a reply.

It's the starter gearbox, takes 30W oil.

Invest in a repair manual for it, or at least an owner's manual.
