As can.rec.boating approaches 9 years of boating discussion in June, I
notice that the group postings have dropped off the last 2 years. Are
people using web forums instead? Is the group too broad in scope? I
guess I'm just tired of waiting for spring on the St.Lawrence.

Winter snows stay longer here
Makes hearts and minds wander, dear
Other things; like taxes, renovate
Our Gardens and syncopate
The dances that draw us away.

It's not your fault, Pat. Eight months of frozen tundra, hard to think of
warm waters and hot engines.

I've been checking in too, just don't have anything to say just now.

Well, I bought a brand new boat last year, so gone are my questions
like ... "there's engine oil coming out the carburator when I put 'er
in reverse with the outdrive up even at 5800 rpm before pushing it off
the trailer ... is that normal?" Or, with a new boat, there's not much
to talk about Smile

Absolutely! Good to see your moniker again. And poetry too - must be
the weather.
I'm back too - my Internet died while I was away golfing and beaching.
Divine justice there somewhere.
It's hot in Ontario today so I expect all of you eastern boaters to
inflate the bumpers and scrape a few bottoms Wink

I'm a bit surprised - I thought there were lots of people in the
Toronto/Montreal area that would post here. Out west we use
