Been through a few dry suits and more than a few neck seals.

Never before saw anything like this discoloration on this
almost-new neck seal:

Using McNair's UV Tech instead of 303 on these seals. First
time I've used it.

Harmless artifact of the McNair product?

Time for a preemptive replacement?

Weird! Looks like oxidation, the very thing 303 is supposed to protect
against. Almost-new seal, huh? Hmmmm.

Wash with mild soap, dry and 303 it again, and monitor for S/S
impaired seal integrity! (Gawd, I'm becoming a nurse! Wink )

Out of curiosity, who told you to use McNair's UV Tech?

That would be my recommendation, without the nursing part.

Per Bill Tuthill:

Went through the last of my 303 - thought I'd try the McNair
product.

For my money - except for the discoloration which may or may not
be layed to the product - it's somewhat better. Strictly a
subjective judgment, but the rubber feels better when using the
stuff.

Also, McNair's container is reasonably robust. I managed to
break three or four of 303's large spritz bottles and I've never
broken anything like that in my life. Some sort of cheesy
material - extremely brittle.

Having said all that, my seals might disintegrate tomorrow....

FYI, it's "McNett", not "McNair".

Mea Culpa: "McNett" it is.

Have you got a preference between UV-Tech and 303?

I've never used UV-Tech. I find that most McNett products are good
quality, but overpriced.
