Archived from groups: rec>sport>jetski (more info?)

I just bought a pair of 1995 Polaris SL 750's and I have a few questions.
First of all I want to change the fuel pumps because I have heard of
problems with bogging and seized pistons. What is the best way to go about
changing it? Any tricks or things to look out for? I am pretty mechanically
incline so it wont be a problem and I work on snowmobiles and dirtbikes all
the time. Another question...is there any way you can run them out of the
water? One last question...I heard of a pop off or something...what is it?
And finally...is there anything else I should do or check before I take them
out to the river? Obviously I am going to check over the engines and clean
the carbs but anything else? Thanks
