Whitewater Paddling - There isn't much water around here the moment, and it's in the Autumn. When winter comes, I am going to do a lot of paddling on big water in my play boat on rivers like the Upper Dart, River Ogwen and River Sawdde.

Too many paddling web sites - Let's face it: there is too much paddle news on the Internet. You just need to know where to look and have the time to scan all those sites. Chances are you don't... No need to miss anything though. Playak looks at all important sites and presents you.

Do our paddling $s fund terrorism? - It is possible. The First Islamic group owns Watermark (Dagger, Systems, Yakima and gear) as well as Caribou Coffee. It is maybe probable, and worth if you are concerned where your $..

paddling and with contact lenses - I would be in hearing any feedback from people who have paddled while wearing contact lenses. have any of you lost your lenses while rolling, paddling through waves etc.

FS: K1 ergo paddling machine - I have an K1 ERGO paddling machine that is in excellent condition for sale. Great for off season training! It has a heart rate monitor and computer distance monitor, carbon fiber shaft and uses wind Made in Europe. Paid $1,100 plus..

Some friends and I are planning a trip to Huatulco, in the state of Oaxaca
Mexico. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience there, and if
so, any information would be appreciated.

I was in Huatulco 2 years ago, wasn't able to make it out paddling. But
there was a river within 2 hours with class IV (Copalita I believe).
Check out the beaches west of Huatulco, we rented a sail boat for a day.
I believe they are where the beach scenes from 'Y Tu Mama Tambien'
were filmed....

Contact these folks, they said they had a kayak I could use/rent:

I've not padded there, but had reason to check it out a couple
years back. I found out that the wet season is Nov.-Dec.-Jan., and
that is when there is commercial rafting in Oaxaca. There are at
least two companies, one run by Grant Amaral, author of an Idaho
