Post subject: PJS VHP 7000 Setup
Archived from groups: rec>sport>jetski (more info?)

Just purchased a PJS Viper VHP 7000, but it's having power issues -
does anyone know what the stock carb settings are with this ski? I'm
at about 400 feet above sea level in Eastern Washington, weather is in
the 90's, water is in low 60's.

It's running real cold, the water exiting the engine is warm but not
hot and you can touch the pipe even after riding for a while (not easy
to stay on since this is my first stand up..). Previous runabout pipes
would boil water after a few minutes. I thought about putting on a
water restrictor of some sort, but it just seems that the engine should
get warmer - there has to be something else going on here..

I had read that this was a powerful ski because of the engine and light
hull, but it just doesn't have much go, especially out of the hole. It
starts fine, just lacks power and heat.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
ct
