I'm about to buy a 97 Regal 2100 LSR from the Tampa area. I intend to use
in fresh water. Is the salt-water use anything to be concerned about?

I agree, we need more info. Saltwater is BRUTAL. I'd get it
somewhere that it can be flushed so you can collect the water that
comes out of the engine. See what it looks like and look for rust,
scale, etc. in the water. Pull the plugs and make sure they look good
and also see what the oil looks like.

Salt Water V. Fresh Water - I live on salt water. If I get a new boat or one that was used in fresh water, are their any changes that I need to make to it? Is it true that I am supposed to flush out the drive system after each use of the boat?? Thanks!! Don

Fresh water washdown ideas - I'm thinking seriously of installing a fresh water washdown system in the new Yo Ho. The boat has a very large center console* with good access, so I have room for a decent tank. I'm thinking 12 to 15 gallons. Probably a poly water tank, a washdown pump...

Need a Way to Wash Hand with Fresh Water - I would like to know if there is a simple device for washing hand with fresh water. My boat is a 18-ft center console that is too small for adding a sink and faucet in it; moreover, a sink and faucet is overkill for my need. I will wash my hand in..

Outboard Engine submerged in fresh water - What to do? - I was just wondering what should be done when a small outboard 2 stroke engine is submerged in fresh water for less than 5 minutes? This happened on the weekend and the first thing we did was to remove the spark plug, cycle the engine maybe 50 times..

salt water use - Hello. What would a week in salt water do to the bottome of a new fiberglass boat. Mine is treated with paint and came from a marine owner. My friend's is brand new, only fresh water usage with no protection. Thanks, Greg
