Post subject: SeaDoo Fuel Gauge - quit working
Archived from groups: rec>sport>jetski (more info?)

I was working on my SeaDoo and thought I had a Fuel Problem that was
causing it not to run (See "SEADOO engine stops running when I hit
about 4200 RPM's" if you want to know more) so I loosened the hose
clamp to the fuel lines that goes into the gas tank (trying to see if
it had something clogging it) but when I tried to pull the unit out of
the hole in the fuel tank but it would not come out because there was
not enough room to get it out so I just put it back it the tank but
after I started it up the fuel gauge would not work - what did I do?

Thanks

ROB

Probably knocked the bottom off of the baffle, and the magnet fell out..

Unfortunately that means you will have to remove the baffle to fix it.

Well, you'll have to pull the baffle out of the tank, and then either find
the float / magnet that's IN the tank, or go and buy a new one at the parts
store.

If it were me, I'd opt for the new one ANYWAY because some of the floats had
a defect where they would become "gas logged" and no longer float in
gasoline!
