Selfish union workers sent GM down the toilet with their lavish pay
scales and now that GM is sunk they expect the US taxpayer to keep
them in their profligate ways. This outrageous. I recall that in the
1850s, govt subsidies of northern industry via tarriffs on southern
imports was one cause of the Civil War. I have no intention of
subsidizing selfish union workers who mostly work in the north. I
wouldnt do it even if they were all in the south. Screw em.

I think you're jealous ( and too stupid, IQ wise ) YOU dont have a
good paying union job. You're also mad because you're working at the
FIRST job you ever had.....AGAIN.

Ah, a perfect example of why union workers are overpaid.

Slammy,
Union members and union employees are wasting their money on union dues.
They will get better return for their investment in dues if they just
put the money in the bank. The union heyday is over. Benefits programs
are disintegrating and soon you will be out of work, thanks to your own
greed. The gravy train has jumped the tracks.
Slammy,
I hope you are smart enough, IQ wise to be making alternative plans.

They both did. That is why chapter 11 is necessary. Then you can really
fix this problem and not just play rant and rhetoric to it.

In chapter 11 the wages will be adjusted immediately. Management and union
alike.

Well, an attempt will be made by the bankruptcy judge or his assignee.
All or most contracted parties must approve the reorganization plan in order
to eventually re-emerge out of Chapter 11.

This would include management, contracted (union) employees, vendors and
other creditors. The plan must also be believable and viable. Otherwise,
it's off to Chapter 7 land.

Total compensation for the CEO of a large corporation should be no more
than 10 times the total compensation of the pay of the average worker at
the company.

I am no lawyer, just that I thought in chapter 11 the judge had the power of
arbitration to stop money losses and the like. Forcing contract, creditors,
management, union down to fix things or else decide for them by a set of
guidelines. If it doesn't look good or work, chapter 7 for liquidation.

Getting unions, management and creditors to agree without some heavy stick,
doubtful.

as opposed to the selfless, poverty stricken hedge fund managers, wall
street investors, and the corporate CEOS with their hundred million
dollar paychecks who did so much for our economy in the past year?

To be considered a worker you actually have to put in an honest days
work, not just show up, take a morning break, lunch, afternoon break and
leave when the whistle blows. You are expected to produce.

In that case neither the management nor the unions should be considered
workers.

Well, you do have to have a working brain. You didn't have many smarts
to begin with, and you seem to be rapidly aging mentally. That's why I
suggested you look into assisted living. You're going to need it soon.

Was it your working brain that got 'foched'? Through your ear?

How're the pustules coming, Harry?
