Switch to a Chronic?

I.m about 5'7, weigh about 85kg (185+lbs) and have size 10 feet. My Switch
has given years of faithful service and I'm thinking of getting a Chronic.
Any advice? I'm a terrible flatwater playboater! I've seen others bow-stall
and link numerous ends in a Switch but I just don't seem to be able! I'm
thinking a Chronic might compensate for my lack of ability, but will it
manage rivers like the Switch did?
