I wish to change my spark plug leads on my XP 97 model. However what type do
i need to replace them with? is it anything special or some sort of rating
they have?
Also they connect into the electrical box of the ski, how do i get them out
of this uni as they seem to be hard wired into this box. I have taken the
box apart but they go into this other electrical device...For those who have
done this before will know what im talking about..

Your help in this will be much appreciated.

Jarrad

The wires are glued directly into the coil. There is a plastic clip that holds
them in place. You need to remove the clip and pull the wires out. If they
won't come out, you will need to drill them out (carefully). After you get the
wires out, scrape the glue out. There is no special rating for replacement
wires. A motorcycle shop should be able to get you a set of NGK racing wires
inthe proper length. Epoxy the new wires in place.

By the way, another option would be to purchase a new coil from SeaDoo. It
comes with the wires installed.
