A huge nasty Nor'easter winter storm grounded my son's flight from St. Louis
to Cleveland. We have not seen him since January 4th.

The bad news is that we are expected to go into blizzard conditions late
tonight and the storm is expected to last through Saturday.

It was pretty crummy here today, too. I was going to pull the shrinkwrap
off the Parker and fix it up for the upcoming season, but the lousy
weather - which is supposed to continue tomorrow - got in the way.

My wife escaped to Florida to meet up with some of her female relatives
in the Tampa-St. Pete area and in Tarpon Springs. When she called
earlier, she said it was in the low 80s in Tampa.

A bar in Lincoln IL. had a sign in their storefront window.

"Free Beer Tomorrow!"

it was there for over 30 years. When the place closed, it was the last
thing to go.

Yeah, we had a bit of rain in southern Maryland, too. We had about a
quarter of an inch so far today, and we're supposed to have
thunderbumpers tomorrow.

I went up to the Annapolis Mall today to shop for a new laptop, and then
I hit Bass Pro for some deep-diving lures. Bass Pro is having a pretty
good sale of fishing gear.

I'm sure we'll hear all about it.

Looks bad for Central Canada too.
Should be heavy rains for the Maritime provinces...which is good for us. The
city is crying daily about how the snow clearing budget is way overdrawn
this year.
Idiots... we have a few easy winters in a row so they base their projections
on that rather than the norm.
