You have to remove the butterfly if all three are on the same shaft as in
the picture. I just remove only one shaft on my yamaha to prime it. But,
if I was doing it again I would prime two carbs. On the one I didn't remove
the shaft, I did remove the butterfly(hint, put masking tape on the back
side of the screws too catch the metal from the bottom of the screw) The
screws are hard to get out. On it, I think I had to remove the butterfly
and break the shaft was the only way to get the shaft out as the other carb
was in the way. Use C-clamps or vise grips to put the plug and spigot in
carb.

Thanks for the help. I meant for A and B to label the tubing that is on =
each side of the carburetor. I'm not sure which tubing I'm supposed to =
cut and put the T-Fitting in. I have three T-Fittings and I realize each =
T-Fitting is for each carburator but I'm not sure which tubes are the =
fuel lines(B:the grey tubing at the top of the picture or A:the blue =
tubing on the other side of the carburators)?
Does it matter which side of the carburetor gets the spigot and which =
side gets the plug? BTW- I have three sets, so I'll be using these on =
all three carburators.

You will have two lines to the primer. I took my choke out and bought a
rotary rasp at walmart and reemed out the choke hole for my primer. You put
a T in the reserve line coming out of the gas tank. Hook to the in line on
the primer. On the out line, it goes to the carbs. Cut your out line and
measure and put a T with a line going to carb 1. On the out of the T run a
line closer to the other 2 carbs, put the 3rd T and run a line to the other
two carbs. The spigot and plug can go in either side on mine. I always put
the spigot on the side close to the out line so I will have plenty of line
left.
Hope the Helps

Remove the choke plate and bars. Put the primer squirter, one for each carb
in those holes. RTV the other three holes.

I ordered a primer kit for my 3 cylinder 1997 Polaris SLTX watercraft. It
came with very vague instructions and I'm not sure how to install this. I've
posted a picture at http://members.cox.net/s.w.smith/Jetski2.jpg
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Thanks for the help Wayne. I'm still unsure which lines are fuel lines =
going to the carbs. I suspect they are clear blue line such as the one =
I've labeled "A". Is that correct? If so, what is the function of the =
gray lines that I've labeled "B"? See =

Steve,
I would put your t-fitting on the reserve fuel line coming out of the fuel
tank close to the fuel tank.Just a suggestion, make your splice(for the main
gas supply away from carbs and closer to the fuel tank. Also I would remove
all choke butterflys even if you are not going to add primer to each carb.

From what I remember on my polaris, the blue lines were for oil injection and
the gray were for fuel. Follow the blue and i bet they go to the oil pump and
than up to the resevoir. When I removed the choke plate on my polaris I just
blocked the holes with plugs and used the accelerator pump on the carb as a
primer.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Need help installing primer kit |

Steve,
Line b appears to be for oil injection.Could you trace the lines back to
their source? If niether a or b goes to the oil pump then the oil injection
is built into the base of the part you removed from top of the carb/manifold
assembly.I would assume the lines that connect to the fuel pump side of the
carbs are the fuel supply lines.I will try and find out for sure for you.I
am surprised that none of the ski techs have pointed out the answer to your
questions.Might be because of race schedules.I will try and get back with a
definite answer.

Steve,
Forgot to mention there are fuel return(bypass??) lines as well.and the fuel
pumps are operated by crankcase pressure/vaccuum.It would make sense that
the oil lines would be clear so you could see if oil was present but I
really don't know if that applies.Although the lines that came with my fuel
primer kit were clear blue. Also the oil supply lines from the oil pump are
much smaller diameter than the fuel lines coming from the gas tank.As I said
before I will try and find for sure.
