inland waterways Boat Safety Scheme - consultation

Yea I go along with that. They keep trying to find new ways to prevent your
boat conforming without spending shed loads of cash. After all they have to
keep all these examiners employed, who have spent thousands of pounds to be
trained to inspect sea going vessels as though they are narrow boats (two
entirely different animals). When it first came in I had to change all my
rubber Diesel hose to copper, although they had been installed by Volvo
Penta, who do know a thing or two about Diesel engines and boats. Guess
what! a couple of years later, they changed the ruling and you can now use
rubber hose. Thats a couple of hundred quid down the tubes. Still it keeps
the chandleries in business. And after all thats what it's all about. I mean
us boaters are loaded, right. Thats got that off my chest, been wanting to
do it for a while. What a bunch of tossers. Peter
