It's not just the cold temps that kill the battery - it loses charge no
matter where it is stored and starts to sulfate the plates. Buy a
battery TENDER (not a trickle charger) or smart charger as they are
sometimes called (go to <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.harborfreight.com" target="_blank">www.harborfreight.com</a> and they often have them
on sale for $7.49, regular price $14.99 - don't let the low price fool
you, I've got eight of them at work all winter and get 4-5 years out of
watercraft batteries). Too bad you already bought the Wally-World
battery or I would have recommended one of the new AGM batteries from
Deka - about $55.00 with much better shelf life and you'll never break a
plate in one like you can with wetcell technology. I've been told that
one battery tender can maintain two batteries but at the price Harbor
Freight sells them for, why chance it.
