I am building diesel and watertanks from 15 mm ply. I coat the inside
with 6 layers of epoxy. The corners are reinforced with 350 gram
glass. I would like to leave the epoxy on the inside of the tanks
uncoated. I would like to know if anybody has experience with the
behaviour of this uncoated epoxy in combination with diesel? And is
there any information if the epoxy in the watertanks can be left
uncoated? If a coating needs to be applied, what sort of coating?

There are several local fiberglass lobster boat builders here and they all
use either aluminum or Isophathalic (sp?) polyester resin for there diesel
fuel tanks. I know epoxy cannot be used with gasoline.
